Naughty Barbara

At first glance, Naughty Barbara might seem to teach little children about colors, about blending and mixing, about primary colors and the color spectrum, and how you can tell a story using the simplest of artistic means. However, those familiar with the painter, illustrator, and writer Daisy Mrázková will recognize that this book is more about the desire and courage to seek and discover, qualities so innate to young children (which adults too readily forget), or about the importance of not being afraid to unlock and open what seems closed – whether it be a door, or a human heart.
