This original song book brings a choice of traditional/folk songs, compiled by the artist Tereza Říčanová and the singers the Stein Sisters. Similar to her Christmas Book and Goat Book, Tereza Říčanová also introduces herself here as a distinctive author fashioning illustrations – close to ad brut and saturated with Vysočina – that would also stand as independent graphic works. As she herself explains, she has used images to convey to children the message that traditional/folk songs are a part of real life, with ancient stories coming back to us again and again.The song book is published also with the Stein Sisters' new CD (published by Indies MG Records) for 399 Kc (purchase here).
