Giant

The hero of this story is a very slow giant. He begins his day with some work, then goes for a walk and tops it off with a good night’s sleep, just like people do. There is just one small difference: one giant day lasts four whole seasons. He wakes up in spring and goes to sleep in winter. The giant moves so slowly, people don’t notice him, not even when he’s right outside their office window. Perhaps that’s why he feels most at home in nature. He lives a very different life from the rushing, self-absorbed city. Why not slow down, re-focus, and enjoy life for a while with the giant? Maybe the world around will begin to seem a little larger and merrier!
