Egberia and Oltenia, and Other Tales

These tales from the world over, from far and near, are brimming with wit, verbal humour, as well as the joy of writing and literary culture in general. "The author gets straight down to it: her princes, rulers and other heroes are no shiny, romanticized Ken and Barbies, but people of flesh and blood. They swear, stuff their faces, get pains in their stomachs, they’re scared, are tempted by money, and just generally stumble in the pitfalls of the world." The philosopher and writer Sylva Fischerová is also the author of the successful book Jules and the Bug.Illustration Juraj Horváth
