Sydney (Two of Us from B.)
Tonda lives with his parents and his frail younger brother, Jenda, in an empty apartment outside the town of B. They have to walk to school because the family usually can’t afford the bus fare. Their electricity was cut off ages ago, and sometimes they don’t even have anything to eat. But Tonda has learned to survive the best he can. And he’s got a great plan... But it will probably be foiled by something that can’t be so easily stopped. This story is about what it’s like to lose your home, no matter the conditions, about brotherhood and parents who are struggling, about the freedom one has in nature and small towns, about surviving in desperate circumstances and running away, and about the magical moments when the world seems to hold together.
